THE STORY BEHIND PLANTS ’N PLANETS
I’ve Always Been
Fascinated by Patterns.
The changing seasons. The rhythm of the Moon. Why some plants thrive effortlessly while others struggle. The quiet intelligence of nature has always made me curious.
Nature isn’t random.
It moves in rhythms.
TWO PATHS, BECOMING ONE
Gardening and
Astrology
Over the years, curiosity led me down two wonderful paths that eventually became one: gardening and astrology. Somewhere along the way, I realized the same patterns I was studying in the sky were reflected everywhere around me: in the changing seasons, in the cycles of the Moon, and in the way plants sprout, flower, fruit, and rest.
FROM MY JOURNAL
The more closely I looked at nature, the more I realized it was speaking the same language everywhere I turned.
ABOUT THIS SITE
Here, Patterns Become
Practical Wisdom.
Have you ever noticed that nature runs on patterns?
The seasons arrive in their own rhythm. The Moon pulls the tides, lights our nights, and has guided farmers, sailors, fishermen, and travelers for thousands of years. Plants know when to bloom. Birds know when to migrate. Trees know when to rest.
Nature is full of cycles. That’s why I created Plants ’n Planets.
This isn’t about fortune telling or making life more complicated. It’s about exploring the rhythms of nature and discovering practical ways they can enrich our everyday lives.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Curiosity has always been part of the landscape.
When I’m not writing or studying, you’ll usually find me outside in my admittedly unruly garden, or tending my indoor jungle. It’s slowly taking over the house and I’m perfectly happy with that. My husband likes to joke that one day we’ll actually be able to see the windows again. He’s exaggerating… mostly.
We’ve been married for over 30 years and work together in Advanced Additive Manufacturing. We’re both unapologetic technology geeks who love discovering new tools and gadgets, and finding creative ways to solve problems.
We’re grateful both our daughters still live close by and actually choose to spend time with us. We’ll happily take every family dinner and impromptu visit we can get.
Our three rescue dogs make sure there’s never a dull moment. Their manners could use a little work, which is probably more a reflection of my being a better gardener than dog trainer. They are incredibly sweet, endlessly entertaining, and very well loved.
I’ve never believed we have to choose between technology and nature. Some of my favorite days begin with my hands in the soil and end with my hands on the keyboard, writing, designing, and bringing new ideas to life.

A NOTE ABOUT AI
I use AI as an editor, proofreader, research assistant, and writing partner to help refine and organize my work. The knowledge, ideas, and perspectives shared throughout this site are rooted in my own years of studying Vedic astrology, growing plants, and learning through experience.
I believe every tool deserves thoughtful use, and AI is no exception. My hope is that using modern technology to inspire more people to grow plants, restore habitats, and spend time outdoors is something worth cultivating.
